Schedule int'l passenger flight suspension extended till April 28

Dhaka: The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh today announced to extend the ongoing schedule international passenger fight suspension to and from Bangladesh for another week till April 28.
This follows the government's decision to extend the countrywide strict "lockdown" for another week amid the resurgence of the coronavirus spread.
Earlier, CAAB suspended operations of all schedule international passenger flights to and from Bangladesh for a week from April 14 following government guidance and instruction to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
However, the ongoing special flights to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and UAE, will continue as well as charter or cargo flights, clarified CAAB.
From April 17, the government decided to operate around 100 special flights to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, UAE, and Singapore in a week, to help about 20 thousand of migrant workers return to their respective workplaces in those countries, who are stuck in the country since the beginning of the flight suspension.
But flights to Singapore have not been started yet, causing migrant workers of Singapore to suffer with concerns of losing their jobs and having their visas expired.
