Dhaka: The Bangladesh-Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BPCCI) has emphasized the need for stronger bilateral trade and tourism connectivity between Bangladesh and the Philippines while formally handing over the Bangladesh-Philippines Business Delegation Report 2026 to Philippine Ambassador to Bangladesh Nina P. Cainglet.
The report outlined strategic recommendations aimed at strengthening institutional and business partnerships between the two countries, with a special focus on expanding tourism, people-to-people connectivity, trade, and investment cooperation.
It also highlighted opportunities for collaboration in ICT, agriculture, healthcare, education, and cultural exchange, alongside measures to improve bilateral tourism links and travel facilitation.
The BPCCI delegation, led by President Raquib Md. Fakhrul (Rocky) and accompanied by immediate past President Humayun Rashid, met the ambassador at the Philippine Embassy in Dhaka recently.
During the meeting, the delegation shared key outcomes and recommendations from the high-level business delegation visit to Manila held from April 26 to May 2.
According to BPCCI, improving tourism connectivity between the two countries could help strengthen cultural understanding, boost business travel, and create new opportunities for the hospitality and aviation sectors.
The meeting reflected the growing momentum in Bangladesh-Philippines bilateral cooperation and BPCCI’s active role in promoting trade diplomacy and private-sector partnerships, a chamber official told UNB.
BPCCI President Raquib expressed appreciation to the Embassy of the Philippines in Dhaka and the Bangladesh Embassy in Manila for their support in making the delegation visit successful.
He reaffirmed BPCCI’s commitment to expanding bilateral economic engagement and creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs and tourism stakeholders in both countries.
Immediate past President Humayun Rashid stressed the importance of continuous dialogue and stronger private-sector collaboration to unlock untapped trade, investment, and tourism potential between Bangladesh and the Philippines.
Ambassador Nina P. Cainglet appreciated BPCCI’s initiative and welcomed continued engagement to strengthen economic, commercial, and tourism relations between the two countries.
