NHTTI, HB Aviation pot Best Educational Institution Award

Dhaka : National Hotel and Tourism Training Institute (NHTTI) and HB Aviation and Tourism Institute walked away with the Best Education Institution for Tourism and Hospitality trophy, respectively, at the gala ceremony of Bangladesh Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Awards 2024 held at an elite hotel in the capital on October 5.

Jaheda Begum, Head of Food and Beverage Production, NHTTI, and Zaki S Bari, Founder and Chairman of HB Aviation, received the awards on behalf of their respective organisations.

National Hotel and Tourism Training Institute is the only Public Hospitality and Tourism Training Institute in Bangladesh. Since its inception in 1974, NHTTI has been working to develop human resource in the country's tourism and hospitality industry.

So far, over 50,000 students have graduated from NHTTI. Currently, about 1,500 students are graduating from NHTTI each year and are working at reputed travel and hospitality organisations with excellence.

It offers various professional short and long training courses on hotel management, cooking, front office, housekeeping and tour guide, among others.

On the other hand, established in December 2017, HB Aviation and Tourism Institute is the first and only aviation-based institute in Bangladesh which is BTEB Accredited and ISO 9001:2015 certified.

It has three campuses in Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet.

With 26 certified teachers, over 900 student graduates currently working at home and abroad, over 1650 offline learners and 225 e-learners, HB Aviation is meeting the HR demand of the aviation industry of the country.

It offers air ticketing, RTO and visa courses, among others. Graduates from the institute successfully work at airlines and travel agencies operating in the country and abroad.

The award ceremony was attended by professionals from the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors.
