Dhaka: Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen paid a courtesy call on the Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister, Afroza Khanam Rita, at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday, March 11. State Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat was also present during the meeting.
During the discussion, both sides expressed optimism about strengthening bilateral relations and emphasized joint efforts to develop Bangladesh’s tourism sector.
Particular attention was given to boosting flight connectivity on routes between Bangladesh and Beijing and Guangzhou.
The Chinese Ambassador highlighted China’s continued support for the development of key tourism destinations in Bangladesh, especially Cox’s Bazar. He also expressed interest in exploring Public-Private Partnership (PPP) opportunities to enhance infrastructure and services in the tourism sector.
The Minister and the State Minister assured full cooperation to facilitate expanded air connectivity and bilateral tourism projects. The meeting concluded with mutual agreement to further deepen cooperation in aviation and tourism initiatives.
