aviation.com.bd holds tour guide training at Lalbagh Fort

Held on August 1, the
field session brought together participants from the first and second workshop
batches. The session focused on key aspects of professional tour guiding,
including destination interpretation, visitor engagement, group management,
communication and site presentation.
The practical session was
led by Taufiq Rahman, founder and chief executive of Journey Plus and secretary
general of the PATA Bangladesh Chapter. Participants observed and practiced
professional guiding techniques while exploring the historic site.
“A professional tour
guide should possess not only destination knowledge but also effective
communication skills and the ability to engage visitors through meaningful
interpretation,” Rahman said, emphasizing the importance of practical exposure.
Harunur Rashid, founder
and CEO of aviation.com.bd, said the field tour was designed to connect
classroom learning with real-world experience and help participants understand
the responsibilities of professional tour guides.
The organizers thanked
M360ICT, Travel Canvas and The Bangladesh Monitor for supporting the workshops
as venue, event support and media partners respectively.
The tour marked the
completion of the current training program. aviation.com.bd said additional
workshops and practical learning initiatives are being planned to support
tourism workforce development in Bangladesh.
